The house was designed to face south and offer occupants stunning views on Rivière-des-Prairies and on Montreal city. It consists of two main built volumes on a two levels split land. The street and the main entrance are at the highest level and the basement is facing the river at the lowest level of the land including a pool and a nice garden.
The first vertical volume includes a garage on the ground floor, upstairs bedrooms with a river-view living-room in cantilever stay above a basement workshop. The second horizontal volume includes entry, kitchen, dining room and bathroom on the ground floor. There is also a guest bedroom, a washroom and a mechanical/electrical rooms in the basement. The roof of the horizontal volume, includes a higher terrace overlooking the Rivière-des-Prairies and the south.
Many outdoor areas are arranged at different levels to allow occupants to enjoy the views and solar orientation.
The outer covering is made of ciment-fiber natural color panels and wooden inserts.
